Clash of Clans

After watching a video by the Yogscast on Clash of Clans I thought I that I should give it ago but I never actually got around to downloading it. Well, I finally did download the app and I think that my "clan" is growing quite quick.

Arrow

I watched the second part of the Mid-Season finale of Arrow last night. It was great to see CW ' s interpretation of Barry Allen getting his powers. Make way for the Flash!!

HD Projector!!

At the weekend my Dad brought back a HD Projector with a screen from the place where he works so we set it up with the XBox and started playing GTA V. I even completed Need For Speed The Run as well!

Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.8.0

Heeelllloooo my fellow Nerds, Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.8.0 was released the other day and it comes with lots of new stuff including.....mine carts!!

The update also contains other new features like carpets, hay block, stone and mossy stone walls, beetroot, carrots, potatoes and even pumpkins.

Lego Marvel 2014 Sets

Hey guys, one of the other things I'm interested in is physical Lego as well as Lego Games. Recently, some pictures of the up and coming Lego Marvel Sets was leaked on the web. I'm pleased with these sets because they feature some of the characters from the Lego Marvel Game, such as Modok and Red Skull.

Lego Marvel Superheroes Game

Hello my fellow True Believers! and may I say that this game is the best game I have ever played...Lego Marvel Superheroes by Tt Games.

I'm gonna start of by saying that I am a huge fan of Marvel and Lego so having them combined is a dream come true given to me by Tt Games who can add this to their long list of amazing Lego Games like Lego Batman 2 and Lego Lord of the Rings. As it says in the booklet, you join super heroes, listing from Iron Man, Spider-man and Hulk to Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm, to defend against the most powerful villains from Loki to Galactus! The main plot is simple yet enjoyable, The Silver Surfer or Herald to Galactus The Devour of Worlds was sent to find more food but unfortunately comes to Earth where he is shot out of the sky blasting his board into many Cosmic Bricks scattered all over the world. The evil Doctor Doom is planning something, well, evil to take over the world but luckily enough Agent Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D and his trusty group of heroes are here to stop him.

 During the game you will travel to the iconic Marvel locations like the S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier, The X-Mansion and even Island M but nothing is good as the open world Lego-ized New York City where you can go around unlocking new characters to add to the roster of 150+ and new vehicles to drive around. Like every good Lego game you can earn a status in each level by collecting a certain amount of studs (Lego currency). In Lego Star Wars it's 'True Jedi' or in Lego Indiana Jones it's 'True Adventurer' but in Lego Marvel Superheroes you are awarded with, like I said at the beginning, 'True Believer' status which is given to you with the voice of the one and only......Stan Lee. Stan Lee is also playable in the game by unlocking every Stan Lee in peril which is where Stan is in need of help in levels and around the New York Hub. There are 50 of these in total but once you do unlock him you are granted with an array of powers from web slinging to telekinesis.

  Another iconic character in the game is Deadpool who is, and I quote, breaking the 4th wall. He does this be taking the rip out the other heroes and even the developers. Deadpool offers his own levels where you can unlock the special Deadpool Red Brick which you can buy to get super secret extras such as a stud multiplier or festive hats (just in time for Christmas).

Well I think I'm gonna conclude the review here. Lego Marvel Superheroes is retailing for £41.47 or $67.78. It may be a bit expensive but it is well worth it for what you get out of the game. I would like to thank Arthur Parsons and the rest of the team for doing such great job on the game and can't wait for the next one. Excelsior!!

Tomb Raider 2013

Yesterday evening I completed Tomb Raider 2013 on Xbox 360. I got the game on Wednesday and enjoyed it thoroughly.

You start the game by seeing Lara Croft on board the Endurance travelling to the Dragons Triangle with her group of archaeologists when suddenly the ship gets hit by a freak storm causing them to become shipwrecked on a South Pacific island. Separated from her crew, Lara is forced to survive by hunting animals and fighting crazed natives with whatever she can find.

Once you start off, Lara is forced to hunt a deer for food using a bow that she finds (which I find quite exciting myself because I am an archer) but before you know it, you've learnt to fight, swing zip ropes and climb mountains all over the mysterious island all of which come in to use when a tribe of shipwrecked, hell-bent soldiers kidnap one of your friends for some kind of ritual: one that's tied to the bizarre weather/storms stopping your rescue, your job is to find out what they're doing on the island and to save your friend.
You have the feature to upgrade your weapons that you find along the way but to do so you must find salvage and gather resources around the island and once you have enough, you can find a base camp and choose what you upgrade. You also earn skill points which you are then allowed to spend on different skills to make surviving, hunting and fighting much easier.

Each level is full of combat, exploration and puzzle solving but some areas are off limits until you have a certain weapon modification and/or equipment. As well as there being salvage and XP, there are also collectibles to, well, collect. GPS caches and ancient relics are stored in hidden places around the island for you to find to gain XP and unlock something new.

I have to say that Square Enix have done a fantastic job with this game and I recommend it to anyone who have played previous Lara Croft Tomb Raider games or gamers who love a bit of action and girls kicking butt!
I rate this game 9/10 because although it's full of action and has a great story line, there are a few things that I would change such as making it a little bit more realistic but I can understand that the game has to be easy to play.
